One of the Best Blackface Fender Tones Ever Recorded

I have always used certain recorded tones as a benchmark for my Fargen Blackbird amplifier. One of the ultimate Blackface tones ever recorded to my ear, is the electric guitar work on the song “I Wonder” by Chris Isaak.

I have always used certain recorded tones as a benchmark for my Fargen Blackbird amplifier. One of the ultimate Blackface tones ever recorded to my ear, is the electric guitar work on the  song “I Wonder” by Chris Isaak. This tune is on his” Baja Sessions” Album and one of my favorites. His guitarist Hershel Yatovitz always gets killer tones but… this one sets a new standard…sounds like a Stratocaster and a Twin Reverb to me…listen and enjoy…

I agree too. I wonder if my 65 twin reissue could sound that great?

    Hi David,

You bet…we have a Hot Mod for all the reissue fenders that put them on par with the real deal vinatge model.

    Cheers,
