1963 Brownface Fender Princeton Guitar Amp
The 1963 Fender brown face Princeton amp has the perfect balance of simplicity and function. This 6G2 circuit moved away from it’s previous 5F2-A cathode biased class A configuration and moved on to a newer fixed bias 2 x 6V6 power amp design with a super cool power tube grid modulated tremolo design. Not quite tweed and not yet a blackface, this little transitional practice amp has a little more headroom than a tweed deluxe but not as much as a Fender Deluxe Reverb. The 1963 Fender brown face Princeton amp perfect for those lower volume home recording sessions and Sunday afternoon blues jams.
